Luis Pinto is a Peruvian American interdisciplinary studio artist and freelance graphic designer based in Oakland, CA. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from New World school of the Arts in 2005 and his Master of Fine Arts from CCA in 2015. Growing up in Miami Beach, FL., Luis’s art is a reflection of his Andean heritage and his tropical countercultural upbringing. Working in various mediums such as drawing, painting, digital media, and sculpture, his fine art has been showcased in exhibitions at MACLA, Guerrero Gallery, Goodmother Gallery, and Primary Projects. Additionally, Luis runs Strangeways Magazine, an annual art publication.
