The Corporate Image is a jargon term referencing a company's image or reputation shaped by branding, language, symbols and placement. A corporate image consists of a brand (corporate image as a whole), identity (the visual aspects), and the logo (the simplest form of identity, generally an icon). The work of Luis Pinto, The Corporate Image, turns the corporate logo on its head to highlight the commodification of black bodies by large corporations. Pinto uses identifiable popular culture brands. The name of Eric Garner replaces the words Ralph Lauren, DKNY reimagined as Amaduo Diallo New York, Alton Sterling in place of the name Versace, Akai Gurley takes the place of Giorgio Armani, and Michael Brown replaces Mont Blanc. All black men killed at the hands of police.

Pinto ask us the questions, "How have we come to a place where we value commodities, symbols, brands more than lives?”
